Job Summary: Froneri is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Utilities Engineer with 2 to 5 years of experience to join our dynamic engineering team. The Utilities Engineer will be responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and maintenance of various utility systems within our facilities (especially Refrigeration). This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems, energy efficiency principles, and relevant industry regulations. The ideal candidate will be a proactive problem-solver with excellent analytical and communication skills, capable of contributing to the efficient and sustainable operation of our utilities infrastructure.
Requirements
Education: University Graduate
Major: mechanical engineering, electrical or a related engineering discipline.
Experience: Minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in utilities engineering, preferably in FMCG.
Awareness of refrigeration principles (Ammonia) Strong understanding of MEP systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection). Familiarity with energy management principles and practices. Strong communication (written and verbal) and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Knowledge of relevant local codes and regulations is preferred (e.g., Egyptian Building Code).

Job Description
- Planning and Design: Assist in the planning and design of new utility systems and modifications to existing systems, including HVAC, refrigeration, water and wastewater management, fire protection, compressed air, and other building services.
- System Analysis and Optimization: Conduct thorough analyses of existing utility systems to identify areas for improvement in efficiency, reliability, and cost-effectiveness. Implement optimization strategies and energy conservation measures.
- Maintenance and Reliability: Develop and implement preventative maintenance programs for utility systems. Troubleshoot operational issues, perform Root Cause Analysis (RCA), and implement corrective actions to ensure system reliability and minimize downtime.
- Energy Management: Support the development and implementation of energy management strategies to reduce energy consumption and improve sustainability. Monitor energy usage and identify opportunities for savings.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other engineering disciplines, operations teams, and external vendors to ensure seamless integration and efficient operation of utility systems.
- Continuous Improvement: Stay updated on the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in utility engineering. Proactively identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvement within the utility systems.
